In this portion, Moses addressed the roles of judges, kings, priests, and prophets. Leaders have always been an integral part of Israel’s (God's) government. Their conduct, whether good or bad, influenced the rest of the nation. The goal was obviously to positively influence and guide the people, although unfortunately, that doesn't always happen.
