Would seem God’s people are not purposed to sit quietly and be idle. Instead, we are to be about Father's business – we are to be light. Even in the Kingdom we will be about our Father's business. On that note, portion presents the “history of Jacob,” but focuses on Joseph, primarily. God has His eye on future; Joseph was destined to be carry purpose forward. It may be difficult for us to see ourselves as anything other than the imperfect person we truly are; but keep in mind, in Messiah, we are being perfected. Strive to look beyond today's circumstances and lay hold of the purpose God has for us all -- to be faithful to the call and let our light shine in this world, today and everyday.
