Flight or Fight?

Apr 22, 2023    Bill Cloud

Iyar is the month to identify gripers and those who are being grouped for battle. We see this way back when the Children began to complain, after the deliverance at Passover. We also see the fighters in the second year of the Exodus as a census was taken for the numbering of the armies. The Biblical pattern teaches us that the journey from Passover to Shavuot will be marked with challenges that provoke our carnal tendencies. We believe that the seed of faith planted in our hearts and life will, in the appointed time, grow and blossom and produce the fruit God intended. On a congregational level; if God is birthing something in our assembly, unclean things will surface. We must be diligent to remain on guard as the enemy tries to use our weaknesses against us. Let us make up our minds that complaining and retreating isn’t an option. Instead, let’s fight the good fight and be committed to one another, as He is to us.
