Purge the Inner Man

Feb 25, 2023    Bill Cloud

Everybody has a part to play! He has given us talents and resources to be used for His purpose. In this week’s portion, the Father calls His people to bring their different contributions, so that the tabernacle may be built. This indicates that ALL of us have a role to play in establishing the Sanctuary. However, in this process the portion we bring must be that of a cheerful giver and a heart of humility. We as a body cannot expect to bring gifts of mediocrity and expect it to bring forth fruit, much less be acceptable to the Father. We must purge those things that have a tendency to get in the way of us from walking in His fulness. God wants us to be part of the building process of His Sanctuary. How we participate in this process matters as much, if not more than if we participate. Things such as pride and rebellion have no place in the building process. He has given us a pattern to follow. Take the pig, for example: Lying on its side, a pig appears to meet the qualifications of being clean, but upon an INWARD inspection, we see they are disqualified. May we reflect that of the ark. The inner pattern was the same as that of the outward. During this process some of these things can be hard to hear and may sting a bit, but we can’t afford to be offended or bitter if it is the truth He is imparting to us. Galatians 4:16 says, “Am I therefore become your enemy, because I tell you the Truth?” We have to allow the Holy Spirit to have his way in the tempering process. Allow Him to search us, throughly and proclaim to live by truth so that our contributions for our Sanctuary may indeed be found acceptable.
