So God Waits
To approach God means to follow certain protocols and adhere to His standards. In doing so, we are becoming a holy people who honor and respect a Holy God. During the most sacred service of the year (Yom Kippur), the typically worn golden vestments of the High Priest were cast aside when approaching the Father. Instead of gold, white vestments were worn and especially when seeking forgiveness. This speaks of the notion that, “no flesh shall glory in My Presence.” To emulate Him, we are to strive to live a holy life regardless of our surroundings. God is searching for those who desire and pursue righteousness in spite of seeing the success of the wicked. Daniel didn’t come into his fruition until he was in captivity. Sometime the Father waits to see how we will respond in these conditions. We are to be insulated from the ways of the world but aren’t isolated from the world. Holiness is a standard that we must live by, even in the gravest of circumstances. If we are committed to Him and His holiness, then we must be willing to lay down our life for this standard and take up our cross.
