Beware of the Pig's Foot

Called Sh’mini or “eighth” referring to the eighth day after Aaron and his sons had been inaugurated into the priesthood. Moses told Israel certain things had to be in order because He was to appear. The first 10 chapters are laws of the Sanctuary said the things that had to be done. The beginning of portion describes different offerings to be placed on altar. Then it describes certain things that should not be done.
